Act of Kindness

“No act of kindness, however small, is wasted.”
~ Aesop

The outpouring of support to raise funds for BYMV teacher Jason Rawhles‘ trip to the USA YOGA NATIONALS coming up next week has been just incredible.

When Jason got the news that he was invited to participate, he shared with me that he might not be able to swing it. But where there is a will, there is a way.

You all made it possible. Our BYMV family came together and gave from our hearts to help make a yogi’s trip to a profound event possible. This is a reflection of who we are as a yoga community.

The essence of a yoga practice is giving. Life is all about giving. From the moment you wake up in the morning, you are giving to yourself, to someone, or something. You are giving freshness to your face by washing it, cleanliness to your teeth by brushing them, nourishing your body by feeding it. The list goes on.

From helping victims of global disasters to helping Jason get to the Yoga Nationals — the act of giving lies beyond making a change or making a difference.

The act of giving is a moment that translates joy and compassion into our genetic makeup.

When we come to the studio, we give to ourselves physically and mentally and at the same time we share. We are serving our souls by GIVING.

From waking up, showing up, and being present — to supporting something that inspires not only the yoga community but the whole world.

“No act of kindness, however small, is wasted.”

These simple words show perfect insight that even a positive thought is never wasted.

Your donation is an ACT OF KINDNESS. A known virtue that also meets and greets you when you practice your asanas. Your cells remember how good it feels to give and BINGO… the effects permeate beyond our own physical body.

We will not be the one to step on that stage to perform the yoga asanas, but by supporting Jason’s mission, you will be up on that stage with him in spirit. Your wonderful spirit that can only continue to thrive by always giving.

Thank you.
